CPR AED Adult Online Course Vouchers

Learn the difference between a heart attack and cardiac arrest and proper AED placement for adults. This online course creates simulated CPR training with AED training experience that is highly interactive focusing on the wellbeing of Adults. In a virtual setting, students/participants will be educated on how to respond appropriately to real life emergencies involving adults suffering from cardiac and breathing emergencies. During the Adult CPR AED online training course, students/participants will learn to recognize and respond to victims having chest pain (angina), breathing and cardiac emergencies (heart attack / myocardial infarction).

Proper techniques for administering CPR and learning how to use an AED and proper AED pad placement for adults are covered in detail during this course. It is important to understand that proper AED pad placement for adults is much different from AED placement for infants. Adults use anterolateral AED pad placement. Anterolateral AED placement is when one adult AED pad is placed on the right anterior chest, midclavicular line, between T1 and T4, inferior to the right clavicle just above the right nipple. The second AED pad is placed on the left lateral chest, left midaxillary line right around T5 and T6 where normal placement of ECG leads V5 and V6 would be placed. Knowledge on whether a victim needs AED treatments or not based on whether the individual has chest pain (angina) or if the patient is unresponsive.

Participants will also be provided with education covering the proper steps that need to be taken in order to save a choking adult. This CPR and AED training course issues a certification of completion that is not recognized by OSHA. Allow approximately 1 hour to complete the CPR AED Adult Online Course Video.

This particular Adult CPR AED Online Course Voucher does not meet OSHA requirements for the workplace. Please keep in mind that this course if for educational purposes and in order to ascertain an OSHA certification for Adult CPR and AED CPR for the workplace student/participant must attend either a blended learning course or an in person course. These courses will assess the students/participants skill set.

In contrast to blended learning and in person classes, online only courses are intended for acquiring knowledge and are for educational purposes only. With this in mind, it is important to note that certain online only courses do not offer in person skills sessions. For this purpose, online only courses that lack a skills session are not recognized by OSHA.
