Participants will also learn during the Opioid Overdose Training course the appropriate steps to provide care based on the responsiveness of the person who is in a suspected overdose due to opiates such as Fentanyl, Hydrocodone or Oxycodone. Students will also receive opioid overdose education on how to use several different naloxone products (opioid blocker medication) such as a nasal atomizer, Narcan (an opioid blocker medication) and EVZIO (another opioid blocker medication). Since opioids like Fentanyl, Hydrocodone and oxycodone work on the opioid receptor, Narcan and EVIZO help to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose for said opioids such as Fentanyl, Hydrocodone or Oxycodone. Allow approximately 45 minutes to complete your Opioid Overdose Training course and you must pass a final quiz in order to complete the First Aid For Opioid Overdoses Online Course video.
